Inspection & Testing of electrical Installations

We are often asked why we should have an electrical inspection when there is nothing wrong. The truth of the matter is that without a certificate you can not ensure everything is safe and working as designed. Just because the fuse never blows or all my machines are working doesn't mean that the earth will work in case of a fault. For example an appliance constructed of metal and no earth connection or high resistance at the socket could result in the metal being live to the touch then the path to earth is through the person touching it.
So therefore the much overlooked item of testing is highly important to safeguard the safety of you and your employees.
All our testing is carried to BS 7671 and information is collected and stored on PC. This is then printed on to NICEIC printer friendly certificates and helps if there is any enquiries in the future for a lost certificate. All our installations are tested out as standard practice for an NICEIC contractor and we offer periodic inspections to existing installations as more and more insurance companies are now requesting these. Prices vary enormously so we only offer on site pricing.

Portable Appliance testing

In compliance with the electricity at work Act employers are to ensure that their employees are protected from the use of unsafe electrical appliances. We offer a complete testing service and issue a test certificate detailing the results. The cost starts from as little as £2:10 plus vat per item and is dependant on the number of appliances to be tested.
